Lyocell is produced from gum trees. Hand dyed with eucalyptus and iron.
Hand dyed, cut and sewn by Maria at the Nelson Molloy Indooroopilly studio. We scavenge the eucalyptus leaves from out the back of our Nelson Molloy studio in Indooroopilly. We use soy milk as a fixative and then leave the fabric to dry. Next we bundle up the eucalyptus leaves and boil the fabric with extra ingredients. Then we let it cool and dry. We then rinse and dry again. The process in total takes roughly 12 hours and this is all before even producing the garment.
Gathered front + cord straps + relaxed fit + side splits. PLEASE NOTE: Due to being individually dyed + made, each slip will vary from piece to piece.
Lyocell is kind to the earth, whilst being incredibly soft, lightweight and durable. The Nomad Slip Dress is reversible, whilst having completely adjustable straps. You can dress it up with sandals and statement accessories or go casual with sneakers or Birkenstocks. Layer with any of our Dusters or your favourite kimono.
